Transparent Tuesday: 30-Day Challenge

Author: Bo Stern | www.sheology.co | @bolovesjoe

When we started She.ology, I made a promise to myself and, consequently to YOU, the reader. I promised I would never waste your time just to fill a word count. So, today’s post is short and simple. If you want to build a more transparent and authentic life, take the next 30 days and eliminate the word “fine” as the answer to “how are you?”

Fine is a throwaway word. It means nothing.  For the next month, even if you feel basically, “fine” - you can’t use the word.  Pick something more descriptive.  Something unique.

Q: How are you?

A: I’m okay. It’s been a rough week, but I really am doing okay.

Q: How are you?

A: So good! Life feels really happy right now.

Q: How are you?

A: To be honest, it’s not been my favorite day, thanks for asking.

You don’t have to say more than that, just commit to answering real.

That’s all. 156 words. But they might help you become the realest you.

With hope,

Bo
